چکیده
Eight-hydroxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is considered as one of the principle forms oxygen radicals that stimulated oxidative stress and has been extensively utilized a biomarker for oncogenesis. The primary goal present study was to investigate alteration in levels 8-OHdG, antioxidant profile proinflammatory cytokines patients with lung carcinoma. Blood samples were collected from 40 cases cancer (stage III) admitted before treatment, health examination at Nanakaly Hospital Erbil city 45 healthy controls ages ranging between 38-69 years both groups. Circulating concentration tumor necrosis factor interleukin-6 evaluated by ELISA. superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POX) ascorbic acid (vitamin C) also analyzed using current work proposes can be used functional biological marker, considering among obtained data indicated correlation serum cytokine concentrations rate survival carcinoma patients.

Pro-inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress/antioxidant parameters characterize the bio-humoral profile of early cachexia in lung cancer patients.
Cancer-related cachexia, that is present in about 50% of cancer patients and accounts for 20% of all cancer deaths, is clinically characterized by progressive weight loss, anorexia, metabolic alterations, asthenia, depletion of lipid stores and severe loss of skeletal muscle proteins. The main biochemical and molecular alterations that are responsible for the syndrome are prematurely present in...

Background: Pro-inflammatory cytokines are associated with systemic inflammatory responses. Objective: To investigate the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1b, IL-6, and TNF-a) in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) compared to healthy individuals. Methods: This case-control study was c...

Stress-related mucosal damage (SRMD) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients due to the gastrointestinal blood loss. Prophylaxis of SRMD with proton pump inhibitors or histamine-2 blockers has gained widespread use in intensive care units. Both demonstrated to be effective in reducing clinically significant bleedings, while PPIs has shown to exert some anti ...
